Single Gunshot Kills St. Thomas Man In Bovoni

ST. THOMAS — A man was pronounced dead in Bovoni on Monday night after receiving a single gunshot wound, V.I.P.D. Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced on Tuesday.

According to Ms. Freeman, citing a police report, at about 10: 26 p.m. on Monday, officers responded to a report of a shooting victim in the vicinity of Sanchez Town, located in Bovoni.

The report says officers converged on the scene and located the body of an unresponsive black male, who had sustained a single gunshot wound and was lying on the floor of Green Bar. Emergency medical technicians on the scene stated that the victim, later identified by next of kin as 35-year-old Calvin Garvey, showed no vital signs of life.
