Two Men Shot In Pearson Gardens; Both Survive

ST. THOMAS — Two men were shot here today in the area of the Paul M. Pearson Gardens Housing Community, V.I.P.D. Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced.

According to Ms. Freeman, at approximately 3:50 a.m. on Wednesday, two male gunshot victims arrived at the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center emergency room, and told police that while they were in the housing community, they heard shots being fired and began to run.

Both victims explained that they did not see who fired the shots or where they came from.

One victim sustained a gunshot graze to the back of his head, while the other victim sustained a gunshot wound to his left buttocks. They were both treated by emergency room doctors for their injuries and later released.

The scene was processed by the V.I.P.D.’s forensics unit, where five shell casings were recovered in the roadway.

Ms. Freeman says the case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
