ST. THOMAS — The Virgin Islands Police Department on Tuesday revealed that it was investigating a first-degree rape incident that the force says occurred Tuesday at about 5:25 a.m. in Estate Frydenhoj.
According to V.I.P.D. Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman, the female victim explained that as she was leaving her residence to go to work, an unknown black male ran up to her and pointed a gun to her head. She further explained that he forced her to walk away from her residence and sexually assaulted her, Ms. Freeman said.
There were no suspects in custody on Tuesday, Ms. Freeman said.
