ST. THOMAS — Three men were shot multiple times about their bodies in St. Thomas on Sunday afternoon, V.I.P.D. Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced Monday.

According to Ms. Freeman, on Sunday at about 4:11 p.m., the 911 emergency call center was notified of shots being fired in the vicinity of Smith Bay. Shortly after the call, three male victims arrived at the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center’s emergency room with gunshot wounds about their bodies. They were transported there by private vehicle.

Contact was made with one of the males, who stated that while they were sitting on the corner in the area of the old Romanos Restaurant, a gray colored vehicle drove by and masked men in the vehicle began firing shots towards them. The other two male individuals did not give any information on the shooting, Ms. Freeman said. They all sustained several gunshot wounds about their bodies and were treated for their injuries.

Police say the case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. The force is asking anyone with information that may lead to the arrest the involved in this incident to contact the Investigation Bureau at 340-7742211 ext. 5579 and 5557.
