ST. THOMAS — Multiple women were robbed after leaving a nightclub in St. Thomas in the wee hours of Saturday morning, with one of the five victims being hospitalized for a wound at the back of her head, after being struck with a gun.
That’s according to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte, who cited a police report. Mr. Dratte said the incident, which occurred after the 3:00 a.m. hour, took place as the women were leaving the Mi Bloque Nightclub in Frenchtown.
The victims said that the robbers made away with an undetermined amount of cash stolen from their wallets, and fired shots into the sky as they fled the area, according to Mr. Dratte.
The victim who was assaulted was treated for a laceration at the back of her head, which took three stiches to close, according to police. She was released upon receiving treatment.
The V.I.P.D. is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the force at (340) 774-2211, or the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340) 714-9801. You may also contact Crime Stoppers USVI with your anonymous tip here.
