Man Found Dead In St. Thomas Harbor; Police Investigating Incident

ST. THOMAS — The V.I.P.D. on Tuesday announced that a body had been found in the St. Thomas harbor near the Coast Guard dock, and that the force was investigating the matter while seeking the community’s assistance, according to Glen Dratte, the V.I.P.D.’s public information officer.

Mr. Dratte said the V.I.P.D. was dispatched to the location at about 8:13 a.m., and met Coast Guard personnel already on the scene.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the male victim, who was examined by EMTs and later pronounced dead.

He was identified as Eral Frett, 63. At the time of his discovery, the deceased was wearing a long, brown pants, black sneakers and a multicolored shirt, according to police.
