ST. THOMAS — A man who was found dead in a rental property in Kronprinsense Gade, St. Thomas, is said to have hanged himself, according to V.I.P.D. Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman, who reported the incident on Wednesday.
According to Ms. Freeman, on Tuesday at approximately 5:21 p.m., a citizen called the 911 emergency call center and reported that his tenant had hanged himself. Upon arrival to the scene, the officers observed a black male hanging from a ceiling rafter of the apartment.
The deceased was examined by an emergency medical technician, who indicated that the victim had no vital signs. The V.I.P.D. said the victim’s identity was being withheld pending next of kin notification.
