SBA Opens Disaster Loan Outreach Center In St. Thomas

ST. THOMAS — The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced on Monday the opening of an SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) at the Nisky Shopping Center in St. Thomas, on Tuesday. SBA staff remains in St. Thomas to assist survivors impacted by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, the SBA said.

SBA representatives at the DLOC can provide information about disaster loans, answer questions and assist in completing the SBA application, according to the release. The center is located as indicated below and will operate until further notice:

Opening: Tuesday, March 20 at 8 a.m.

Days: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Closed: Saturday and Sunday

Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at DisasterLoan.sba.gov.

Additional details on the locations of Disaster Recovery Centers and the loan application process can be obtained by calling the SBA Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard of hearing) or by sending an email to [email protected].  Loan applications can also be downloaded at sba.gov. Completed applications should be returned to the center or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.

The deadline to return economic injury applications for Hurricane Irma is June 7, 2018 and Hurricane Maria is June 20, 2018.
