ST. THOMAS — An altercation between two men led to the discovery of an illegal firearm earlier this month, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has announced.
According to Mr. Dratte, at around 7:58 a.m. on April 5, patrol officers along with officers of the Special Operation Bureau and the Investigation Bureau, were dispatched to Lindberg Bay relative to an altercation between two males.
Upon the officers’ arrival to the scene, they discovered a firearm, and arrested Lester Charles, 30, (seen above) charging him with unauthorized possession of a firearm, third-degree assault, possession of an unlicensed firearm and destruction of property, according to Mr. Dratte.
Unable to make bail, Mr. Charles was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections.
