Major Steven K. Pearl, Sr., The Salvation Army Regional Coordinator for the Virgin Islands said, “We are excited about this public-private partnership to bring worthwhile after-school programs targeted to at-risk children, as well as youth that otherwise may not have had opportunity to learn music or participate in sports.”
The Salvation Army received a grant from the AT&T Foundation to help fund the program. “As an island community recovering from last year’s hurricanes, we are beyond thrilled to connect with AT&T on this wonderful initiative,” said Major Hermas Pearl, the Regional Coordinator for The Salvation Army. “The Salvation Army is proud to offer this program to St. Thomas families as an affordable, safe and fun option for after-school activities.”

In addition to their (TSA) helping with education, there’s also a strong cultural component that will be part of the children’s planned activities. As the Assistant Commissioner, I’m very excited with this program and we’re ready for it to start.”
The Winston Raymo Recreation Center will be open for registration in the After-School Program, October 15-19, 2018 from 3:00-6:00PM daily. Parents and guardians may register their children for this awesome program. Our TSA staff is excited to bring this opportunity for our island youth.
