ST. THOMAS — A 72-year-old man was placed under arrest and remanded to the Bureau of Corrections for allegedly assaulting his female companion, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced Monday.
The incident occurred on November 22 at around 10:00 p.m., Mr. Dratte said. He said the female victim told police that Gerard A. Brunn, also known as Jerry, assaulted her by striking her several times with his hands and a computer.
On Monday, Mr. Brunn was arrested and charged with simple assault and battery, and was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections. No bail was afforded as per the territory’s domestic violence laws, Mr. Dratte said.
