A St. Thomas fisherman who had been reported missing on Jan. 19 is believed to have drowned at sea, according to information released by VIPD spokeswoman, Melody Rames.
The victim has been identified as 50-year-old David Turbe of Frenchtown.
Police received a 911 call at about 7:45 a.m. on Jan. 20 of a body found floating in the water.
Turbe was the subject of a search at sea after his family reported him missing on Monday when he did not return from diving.
Police did not provide information on where the body was found or if the incident was an accidental drowning or otherwise.
