The Department of Human Services, Office of Child Care & Regulatory Services recently announced the availability of limited funds to assist eligible parents in paying for summer camp fees for their children.
Applications will be available at the Department of Human Services – Subsidy, Resource & Referral Program (formerly – Block Grant) on St. Croix and St. Thomas on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 8:00 a.m., until slots are filled and at the Department of Human Services Multipurpose Center on St. John on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Applicants interested in receiving summer camp assistance must be employed, attending school or a training program and must meet the eligibility requirements. Children between the ages of 3 – 12 years, as well as children with disabilities (special age provisions) are eligible to receive summer camp assistance.
