The Disaster Recovery Center at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Christiansted, St. Croix, will be closed this Friday morning, as the church has a scheduled event, FEMA announced Monday.
The center will be open to assist survivors of hurricanes Irma and Maria from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
St. Croix’s three other recovery centers will be open regular hours Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are at the Old Post Office Building and the Rencelliar Gibbs Fire Station in Christiansted, and the Rotary Club West in Frederiksted.
Recovery specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration are at the recovery centers helping survivors register for assistance. They also are available to answer questions and provide information on the types of federal aid available to homeowners, renters and small-business owners.
