ST. THOMAS — A man was caught on camera stealing a laptop from an establishment in St. Thomas on Wednesday, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced Thursday.

The suspect, 26-year-old Derrick Johnson, after being contacted by law enforcement on Wednesday at about 5:30 p.m., admitted to stealing the device while stating he would return it. He was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing after failing to make bail of $20,000.
