St. Croix — A man lost his life during a drive-by shooting that occurred on Centerline Road (Queen Mary Highway) in the vicinity of Estate St. George and Diamond, Kevin Jackson, VIPD’s public information officer announced today.

According to Jackson, at about 6:42 p.m., police responded to a call of shots being fired and upon arrival on the scene, discovered a white-colored Honda Civic with a bullet hole in the passenger side window. The car had struck a tree and came to a halt west of Bellows International. The man sitting inside, police said, was unresponsive.

Emergency medical technicians arrived on the scene after police and found that the victim had no vital signs. He was later identified as Dave Edwards, Jr., of Estate Whim.

Officers currently have no leads on the crime and are therefore requesting the community’s assistance in locating the perpetrators. Residents are asked to call the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-712-6042, 911 or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.

I've been the Editor-In-Chief at my videogames website, Gamesthirst, for over 5 years, writing over 7,000 articles and more than 2 million words. I'm also very passionate about where I live, the United States Virgin Islands, and I'm intent on making it a better place by being resourceful and keeping our leaders honest.
