ST. THOMAS — District Court Judge Curtis V. Gomez today sentenced Daniel Reyes Hurtado, 37, of St Thomas, to 51 months in prison and 10 years of supervised release for possessing child pornography, United States Attorney Ronald W. Sharpe announced on Thursday.
Judge Gomez also ordered Hurtado to register as a sex offender and pay a special assessment of $100.
According to court records, Hurtado used his laptop computer to download in excess of 600 child pornography images from a peer-to-peer sharing network.
