ST. CROIX — Travis Everett, 36, from Frederiksted, wanted for second degree assault, was captured on Saturday, November 14, at 7:23 p.m. in the area of Queens Quarters, according to VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson.
According to Mr. Jackson, police had been searching for Everett since Thursday, November 5, for assaulting his wife, causing her visible injury. The story was posted on The Consortium’s Facebook page and was seen by over 20,000 people, with over 120 residents sharing the post, as VIPD sort the community’s assistance in locating the suspect.
No bail was set for Everett, and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
