REMAX Of St. Croix Donates Christmas Tree To JFL

Health / News / Virgin Islands / December 18, 2015

ST. CROIX — REMAX of St. Croix is pledging its support to the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center (JFL), a press release the medical facility issued on Thursday makes known. This month, the agents and staff of REMAX donated a fully decorated Christmas tree to hospital.

The tree was one of several featured at the 40th annual “Christmas Spoken Here” event held at the St. George Village Botanical Garden on December 6, 2015. The trees are usually auctioned at a gala to benefit the Botanical Garden, and then donated. REMAX Owner Gail Bourdon said it was important to give back.

“The Juan Luis Hospital has done so much for my family, and for all of our families, we just wanted to make sure we give back, not only now, but on an ongoing basis.”

The Christmas tree donation was received warmly by the staff at JFL. Public Information Officer Erica Parsons said, “It’s a beautiful gesture that not only uplifts our visitors as they walk through our doors, but it also says the community supports JFL, and we value that commitment.”

REMAX agents and brokers have pledged to do a lot more to support JFL, and Bourdon says this donation is just the first commitment. “One of the projects we plan to undertake, is adopting one of the waiting rooms at JFL, so look for a lot more from REMAX St. Croix in 2016” concluded Bourdon.
