ST. THOMAS — Michael McCrystal, (above) a 24-year-old who was involved in a vehicular accident last Friday on Veterans Drive, was arrested on multiple counts after he failed to pass a field sobriety test, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced today.
According to Mr. Jackson, once a search of McCrystal’s vehicle was conducted, officers discovered a loaded .40 caliber pistol and ammunition in his possession. He was charged with driving under the influence, negligent driving, possession of an unlicensed firearm and illegal discharge of a firearm.
Unable to make bail of $50,000, McCrystal was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
