Man, 22, Shot Dead In St. Thomas

ST. THOMAS — A young man was shot dead on Sunday night in St. Thomas, in the area of Estate Lerkenlund, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced Monday.

Mr. Dratte said officers from the Richard N. Callwood Command traveled to the area at approximately 11:23 p.m., in reference to a gunshot victim.

Upon their arrival, police met an unresponsive male with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds about his body. He was pronounced by medical attendants on the scene, according to police.

The victim was identified by next of kin as Vascott David, 22.
